Aroma Cafe

We went to Aroma Cafe today in Studio City. We loved it! The food is a bit pricey, but very tasty. It's street parking, but we didn't have any trouble finding a spot. Aroma is perfect for a writing day, but is also great for having a nice meal with a friend.

Overall, this place is fantastic!

Bob's Espresso Bar

Today we were at Bob's Espresso Bar!

It's such a great little coffee shop in the NoHo Art District.

The service was fantastic and it had a great writing atmosphere!

It was super quiet, a great hole-in-the-wall kind of feel. And the tea was loose leaf and freshly scooped = delicious!

Republic Of Pie

We were at Republic Of Pie in North Hollywood today!

The review is a bit mixed since once of us loved the place and the other was on the fence.

Although we both agreed that parking really blows for any restaurant on Magnolia and Lankershim: meters only, really! (And not that many of them!)

SteamPunk Coffee Bar + Kitchen

We're at SteamPunk Coffeebar + Kitchen 12526 Burbank Boulevard
Valley Village, CA 91607

This place is fantastic! Well worth the small inconveniences like slightly pricey menu and limited parking.

We are with fellow writing friends Marni L.B. Troop and Natasha Troop today and we all had a great experience!

Swork Urban Coffee Bar

We're at Swork Urban Coffee Bar: 2160 Colorado Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90041.

Overall, this place was great. Great atmosphere, plenty of seats and even a playroom for kids in the back.

Downsides were horrible parking and a sketchy bathroom.

The drinks were fantastic! And let's face it: writing with yummy drinks is always a good thing!

Bon Vivant Market and Cafe

Overall, the place is okay. The atmosphere is cool, but a little loud. Also, the doors are opened to the outside, which is great in theory (because of the fresh air) but in reality we ended up smelling cigarette smoke.

The service was meh, the tea was bleh, but the food was really tasty. We both had crepes with fresh berries and they were very good.

We both likes certain aspects of the place, but in general, nothing special.

Jameson Brown Coffee Roasters

Today we're at Jameson Brown Coffee Roasters:
260 N Allen Ave
Pasadena, CA 91106

We visited with Ingrid Sunberg another amazing writer to check out her stomping grounds. The caffe was big enough for elbow room. The atmosphere was really relaxed and the staff was fun.

The tea cup was HUGE. The details were great, a very industrial feel to the back area. There’s no lot, so it’s street parking only. The noise level was moderate but not high, so if you have to write in silence this is not the place for you; but if you’re use to the bustle of a cafe, then hop on in!
